Donald Trump
Donald J Trump
This is a reprint from my blog November 2020
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only. “A Tale Of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens
Many people on both sides of the political spectrum are saying “the election is over, you lost, get over it and move on. What’s the point of prolonging this issue? Let’s just get it over with and move on.”
I think the reason for these questions and why people are so quickly conceding stems from a failure to see the issue for what it is. This is not really about Trump winning or losing. The press conference yesterday whether you thought it was impressive or not was just a sideshow, nearly meaningless in the big scheme of things.
The mistake is made by looking at this as a single issue, viewing it as simply a problem with this election. Was there fraud with the absentee ballots? Was the software rigged? Many people understandably take the view that this uncertainty is not good for the country. Let’s just put this behind us and move on.
Let me ramble for just a moment and see if we can connect some dots and perhaps, speculative though this may be, whether we can attain some clarity by stepping back and looking at the bigger picture.
Four years ago to be exact, right at this moment the sitting president of the United States of America, Barack Obama and his administration schemed to overthrow an incoming President. Obama’s administration weaponized government agencies to do so in an all-out effort to frame Donald Trump and members of his administration.
To this day no one has been held accountable for that, we have been watching years of drama, corruption, criminal conspiracy and even treason on the highest levels of our government. Investigations are done, hearings are held and nothing seems to happen, certain people are seemingly untouchable. Crimes that would put you and I in prison, some people seem to commit with impunity.
Little wonder that people who care about truth, honesty, and integrity in our government finally give up because they see the corruption is so vast and so powerful that it’s hopeless to do anything about it.
Donald J Trump was a duly elected president in 2016, in the four years since then those opposing him have done very little except try to find some way to overthrow the election and his administration. Instead of investigating a crime they have endlessly investigated the man looking for some crime, some accusation they can level against him.
Many people don’t like Trump, he’s uncouth they say, he’s rude, he’s not a nice man. I agree Trump is not a Southern Bible Belt Christian with a fake smile on his face kissing you on the cheek while gently sliding a knife in your back. He’s rough, he’s tough, he’s ruthless, but most of all he’s courageous. But back to the subject at hand, what is he doing? Why doesn’t he give up, what is really going on?
Now I’m going to ask a seemingly unrelated question, why the heck is Rudy Giuliani, an old washed up district attorney and former mayor of New York City on his team? He doesn’t look good on TV, just like Trump he’s rough, he’s crude he doesn’t make a good impression.
I believe Rudy Giuliani is on the team because of his experience in breaking up the mob in New York City in the 1980s, no one else has the experience that he has had. What we’re facing right now is quite similar to what Giuliani faced in New York in the 1980’s.
It’s popularly known as the Deep State but we could also call it the mob because it operates the same way. They rule not only the United States but indeed the world, dark shadowy figures, big money people, hiding in the backgrounds, ruling the world by threats, coercion, extortion, and violence. In America today, we have a mob that’s running the country and has for generations. To date no one has been able to withstand them and fully expose them.
We have so much corruption in our government that never gets addressed. When crimes get exposed there is a big uproar, there are investigations, there are Congressional hearings and then it just fades away. Occasionally a sacrificial lamb is thrown under the bus to appease the people but the real operators, the masterminds are never touched. Just like the old mob, sometimes the foot soldiers get caught committing a crime but the guys on the top somehow are always untouchable. In New York they were untouchable until Rudy Giuliani came along. Giuliani perhaps the most successful district attorney ever. Broke the power of the mob. Broke up the big crime families and put some big names in prison, not just the foot soldiers but the masterminds, the financiers, the big bosses.
What if this election fiasco is not just a single issue, what if it’s actually one more piece of a larger puzzle? What if all the fraud related to the Russia investigation, what if all the blatant crimes, the open corruption, the information on Hunters laptop, what if it’s all intertwined and all roads lead back to the same operators at the top? If that is indeed the case perhaps that might explain why despite all the threatenings by President Trump and all the corruption that has been exposed seemingly nothing has been done in these four years to hold anyone accountable.
When you’re going after the mob leaders, you have one chance to strike, if you miss you’re going down.
In organized crime cases what sometimes happens is that prosecutors settle by going after some low level people thereby gaining a victory in the public eye and saving themselves the dangers of going after the “big guys.”
Trump and his team are facing down the mob at this moment, they realize that grabbing some of the lower-level people does not address the root of the problem. They have been building the case for 4 years, they have one chance to make this strike, if they fail they will pay for it with financial ruin, with their lives and the lives of their families.
President Trump and his team are at this moment in grave personal danger and as so many Americans before them have done they are willing to lay down their lives for the sake of the country and freedom.
Americans let us first of all pledge allegiance to seeking truth, honesty, and integrity, starting with our own lives, our families, our businesses our communities. We must demand this from our local leaders and all the way up to the top.
At this particular moment in time our concern should be the integrity of the election process. Free, secure, and honest elections are one of the pillars of the Republic and it cannot stand without it. As such no matter which political party we identify with we should have no fear of investigations.
Legal challenges, audits, and recounts are a routine feature of American elections and rightly so because they help ensure the integrity of the process. In no way do they endanger our democracy.
Can the mob that controls America and indeed the world be exposed and brought down… We shall see….
